A hard-hitting vocal choir revamp the classics.

Birthed from a love of American gospel and contemporary RnB music, HALO Vocal Ensemble puts a modern spin on the choir. The group features some of the most revered vocalists in the country transforming jazz standards and bringing a new sound to the masses.

Featuring artists such as Thando, Lheon, Skÿe, Michaela Jayde and Soli, performing songs together and solo, the HALO Vocal Ensemble is a beautiful display of a tight-knit music community, connecting on stage and wowing audiences whenever they perform.

For MIJF 2021 the HALO Vocal Ensemble will re-imagine classic and contemporary jazz standards backed by some of Melbourne’s most talented musicians. Performing hits by Nina Simone, Cab Calloway, Billie Holiday, Etta James and more.

Travel to Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre: Please be advised that there will be roadworks which may affect your travel to and from the Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre. High Street, between Westgarth Street and Hoddle Street in Northcote will be closed for essential bridge upgrade and tram track renewal works. Detours will be in place.
