Darebin Arts has a huge calendar of  public festivals for the whole community. Our festivals celebrate and explore a range of interests, artforms and cultural influences.  Darebin events are designed to be accessible to residents of all abilities, and are held in locations right across the municipality to ensure everyone can get involved. Grab your friends, the whole family, and join in the fun!

Darebin Community & Kite Festival 

11am – 4pm, Sunday 24 March 2019
Edwardes Lake Park, Reservoir

The Darebin Community & Kite Festival is a perennial favourite. Held throughout the picturesque Edwardes Lake Park in Reservoir, the festival is an outdoor cultural and community celebration. Fun, free and immersive, the festival presents a range of activities for all ages including performances, workshops, community stalls, food and beverages, a pet expo and of course, kite flying.

Darebin Homemade Food & Wine Festival

1 June – 8 June 2019
At venues across Darebin


For over a decade Darebin Homemade Food & Wine Festival has celebrated the importance of food in our community, tapping into the traditions and sustainable food practices of the culturally rich residents of Melbourne’s inner north. Whether you want to sample local creations, expand your cooking repertoire, brew your own beer or make your own kombucha, you will find something to suit your tastes. The program is book-ended by two wonderful markets showcasing our ingenious creators and Indigenous culture.

Every year, Melbourne’s thriving music community comes together to celebrate songwriting and music at the Darebin Music Feast. This rich and diverse collection of musical events is built on the philosophy that music brings people together and can be enjoyed by all.
