Darebin Homemade Food & Wine Festival 2018
Darebin Homemade Food and Wine Festival will be taking over venues across Darebin once again in 2018! The annual festival celebrates the importance of food in and of community, in a week-long program of events that includes wining and dining, seminars and hands-on workshops. There are a number of ways you can be involved:
Meet The Makers
Are you the maker of Darebin’s finest homemade wine or best home brew? Are you a local passata master, pickled vegetable and preserved olive pro, do you know your way around a jar of avjar, or maybe you’re Darebin’s best baker? We are on the lookout for Darebin’s best local makers to take part in the Meet the Makers Showcase. Judged by a panel of industry experts, enter your produce to win! To register interest or for further details, please contact Amanda Palmer Amanda.Palmer@darebin.vic.gov.au or 03 8470 8306.
Stallholder applications are now open for the Homemade Marketplace which is taking over Northcote Town Hall’s Civic Square on Saturday 26 May. The Homemade Marketplace is a new event as part of Meet the Makers and we want to hear from independent food and produce makers and traders who want to showcase at the event. Apply for your Homemade Marketplace stall here.
Homemade Umbrella Program
Programming for the 2018 Darebin Homemade Food & Wine Festival is underway. If you have ideas for workshops, demonstrations, seminars and special events around the theme of ‘food traditions and sustainable practice’ that you would like to run as part of the festival, we would love to hear from you. The program is supported by an umbrella marketing and publicity campaign and presents a great opportunity for quality engagement as part of a much loved community event. To submit your ideas for the Homemade Umbrella Program please register here.
