Event Details

How would you like to experience Public Art in Darebin?

Have your say by 7 December 2017!

Public art enables Darebin to stimulate a thriving and creative culture in the city and provides the community with an every day experience with creativity.

Council wants to hear from you as we begin developing a new Public Art Framework.

What is Public Art?

Public art is any visible art that is located in a community space. It can be permanent such as a sculpture, or temporary such as a projection on to a wall or window. Some forms of public art are ephemeral and can last only hours or days, such as a performance or a visual artwork that disintegrates.

For further details about current public art in Darebin, check out the Public Artworks Discovery Map.

How do I get involved?

Is public art important to you? Does public art make your community a more inspiring and surprising space? What public art would you like to see in Darebin?

By taking part in our survey you will help us plan the future role of Council in the changing Public Art environment in Darebin and work towards building a new Public Art Framework.
