Darebin Music Feast 2017
The ever-popular Darebin Music Feast is back for 2017, taking over venues right across the municipality from 12 – 22 October.
Running for over 20 years, the 11-day festival is a celebration of Darebin’s musical community. With signature events, industry development opportunities and an open access program, Darebin Music Feast showcases Darebin’s diverse mix of music genres and cultures.
The 2017 event will kick off with an opening night spectacular at Darebin Arts Centre ‘The Red Dusty Road: A celebration of 40 years on the road with Bunna Lawrie and Coloured Stone’.
Other feature events include Mana and The Megaphone Project. Returning festival favourites include the Darebin Songwriters’ Award and 2016 smash hit, Reservoir Stomp, which will once again take over the Preston Reservoir bowls club with a stellar line-up including The Fauves, Damian Cowell’s disco machine, Emma Donovan and the Putbacks, MCs Randy (Ricketts Lane ABC TV) and Emma Peel (PBS FM) and more.
There are many ways to get involved in Darebin Music Feast — With more than 100 events in the program – many of them free and family-friendly – there’s something for everyone!
